  • 2½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup (170 g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Pinch of salt
  • Filling options: apricot jam, walnut paste, or poppy seed paste
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and powdered sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in egg yolk and sour cream to form a soft dough. Chill 30 minutes.
  4. Roll dough into small balls. Flatten slightly, place a small amount of filling in the center, and shape into crescents.
  5. Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake 15–18 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
