Ingredients
Dough:
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
- ½ cup (120 ml) water (adjust as needed)
Filling:
- 3–4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup raisins (optional)
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Topping:
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make dough: Mix flour, salt, oil, and water into a smooth dough. Knead briefly, then let rest 30 minutes.
- Prepare filling: Combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and breadcrumbs.
- Roll dough into a thin rectangle on a floured surface. Brush lightly with melted butter.
- Spread apple filling evenly, leaving about 1 inch at edges. Roll tightly into a log and pinch ends.
- Place on baking sheet, brush with remaining melted butter.
- Bake 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
