Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾–1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Add eggs and stir.
  3. Gradually add water until you have a soft, sticky dough.
  4. Drop small portions into boiling water using a spoon or spaetzle maker.
  5. Cook 2–3 minutes until dumplings float to the top.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
  7. Toss with butter or oil and serve immediately.
