Dough:

  • 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
  • ½ cup (120 ml) water (adjust as needed)

Filling:

  • 3–4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Topping:

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make dough: Mix flour, salt, oil, and water into a smooth dough. Knead briefly, then let rest 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare filling: Combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll dough into a thin rectangle on a floured surface. Brush lightly with melted butter.
  5. Spread apple filling evenly, leaving about 1 inch at edges. Roll tightly into a log and pinch ends.
  6. Place on baking sheet, brush with remaining melted butter.
  7. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
