Hungarian Cheese-Stuffed Chicken Patties

(Sajttal töltött csirkefasírt)

Ingredients

  • 600 g ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 2–3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 150 g firm cheese (mozzarella or similar), cut into cubes

For coating:

  • Flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Breadcrumbs

For frying:

  • Oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Take a portion of the mixture, flatten it in your hand.
  3. Place a cube of cheese in the center and seal well, shaping into a patty.
  4. Coat each patty in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil over medium heat.
  6. Fry patties until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot while the cheese is melted.
