Hungarian Potato Fritters

Ingredients

  • 600 g potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 3–4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess liquid.
  2. In a bowl, mix grated potatoes with onion, egg, flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Spoon portions of the mixture into the pan and flatten slightly.
  5. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot, plain or with sour cream.
