Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900g) potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
- 1 cup (200g) smoked sausage or Hungarian kolbรกsz, sliced
- 1 cup (240ml) sour cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (180ยฐC).
- Boil sliced potatoes until just tender, then drain.
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer ingredients: start with potatoes, then eggs, sausage, and a spoonful of sour cream. Season each layer with salt and pepper. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with potatoes and a bit of sour cream on top.
- Optional: sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for a golden crust.
- Bake 25โ30 minutes until heated through and top is lightly browned.
